Heading to CDG

After a morning of work (me and Nico) and camp (S & J), we headed to JFK around 2 p.m. today in the close to 100 degree F heat. Thunder, lightning and some occasional downpours made for an eventful trip, as did the frequent sibling car brawling and incessant whining. A freak flash flood on the Van Wyck slowed down traffic to a crawl, but we made it with time to spare in the large and SO-not-us white Chevy Traverse rented for the airport trip. The A380 was quite full, but the kids found ways to relax that mainly involved headsets and Air France meals pour enfants with Oreos, before finally laying down their heads and sleeping for a few hours.
